Locanox is a privacy-native platform that runs entirely offline. You can generate wallets, run AI chat, and store encrypted files without ever connecting to the internet. Online tools are available, but only when you choose to enable them.
❓ Do I need internet to use Locanox?
No. Locanox is built to function 100% offline. Internet is only required for optional features like online relay sync or remote viewing.
❓ Does Locanox send any data to the cloud?
Never. Locanox does not connect to any external servers by default. When you activate online mode, all connections go through encrypted relays, with no logging, IP tracking, or metadata leaks.

❓ What if I lose my vault?
If you’ve created an encrypted backup and saved your recovery phrase, your vault can be restored. Otherwise, it cannot be recovered, by design, Locanox does not store or mirror your data.

iOS support is in development. The app will maintain full offline compatibility just like Android and desktop versions.
❓ How secure is the offline AI chat?
The AI chat runs entirely on your device using local models. No conversations are sent to external servers, and chat history is encrypted locally. Your AI interactions remain completely private.

Yes, but with enhanced privacy. Locanox can simulate swaps, estimate gas, and prepare transactions offline. When you’re ready to broadcast, it routes through encrypted relays to protect your IP and metadata.

Your vault, AI memory, and files remain encrypted and unchanged when switching between offline and online modes. Only temporary session data is cleared when returning to offline mode.

Use the built-in export feature to create an encrypted backup file. Save your recovery phrase separately. Store both in secure, offline locations. Never share your recovery phrase with anyone.
❓ Why can’t I recover my vault without a backup?
This is by design. Locanox operates on a zero-knowledge principle, we cannot access your data because we don’t store it. This ensures maximum privacy but requires you to maintain your own backups.

Locanox is free for all offline features. Optional online features may require $LCNX tokens, but the core privacy-focused functionality remains completely free.
